OUR STORY
Every Pet Deserves
to Be Remembered.

HOW IT BEGAN
Born from Grief. Built with Love.
PawWool began the way most meaningful things do — with loss. When our founder’s dog, Biscuit, passed away in 2025, no photograph felt like enough of a tribute. A hand-stitched greeting card from a friend sparked something: what if a portrait could carry not just a likeness, but texture, warmth, and presence?
That question led to months of learning the ancient craft of needle felting — a technique that transforms raw wool into sculptures strand by strand, entirely by hand. The first portrait of Biscuit sat on the mantelpiece. Friends asked for one. Then strangers. PawWool was born.
OUR CRAFT
Needle Felting: An Ancient Art, Rediscovered.
Needle felting is one of the oldest textile arts in human history. Using a barbed needle, loose wool fibers are repeatedly pierced and interlocked — no glue, no machinery, no shortcuts. The process is meditative, slow, and entirely dependent on the artist’s eye and hand.
Every PawWool piece uses 100% natural Australian Merino wool — chosen for its exceptional softness, color range, and ability to hold fine detail. We never use synthetic fibers in our portraits. The result is a piece that is tactile, warm, and made to last decades.

OUR PROMISE
We Only Ship What We’re Proud Of.
We are a small studio, not a factory. Every portrait is made by one of our trained artists, and every portrait is reviewed by our founder before it leaves the studio. If it doesn’t meet our standard, it doesn’t ship — we remake it.
We send you progress photos during production and a final approval photo before shipping. You are never in the dark about your order. And if something is ever wrong upon arrival, we make it right — no questions asked.
- ✦ Progress photos sent during production
- ✦ Final approval before every shipment
- ✦ Full remake or refund if damaged in transit
- ✦ Every piece signed and dated by the artist

A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER
“Pets give us everything. A portrait is the least we can give back.”
I started PawWool because I needed something that existed somewhere between a photo and a memory — something I could hold, that held warmth. I didn’t expect it to become a studio. I didn’t expect thousands of families around the world to trust me with their most precious companions.
Every portrait we make carries that original intent: to honor. To remember. To give grief something beautiful to hold onto. Thank you for letting us be a small part of your story.
